Bush doing the “bob-and-weave”

Who knew that President Bush had such a good bob-and-weave manuever? He easily dodged shoes that were flung at him by an Iraqi reporter in a Baghdad news conference last week. Apparently the throwing of a shoe is the largest sign of disrespect in Iraq…and I guess this guy wasn’t too fond of ‘Dubbya’.

Bush dodged the first shoe like he knew it was coming and then barely flinched at the embarrassing toss of the second shoe. The man looks like he was then tackled – however it seemed to me that the Secret Service response was a little slow, no? If you watch, the guy was already taken down, by what looks like other reporters, and then the Secret Service comes barging out of the back room. Shouldn’t they be standing up there next to Bush in order to, let’s say, catch the shoes?
