Top Secret: The Tar Heels Are Pretty Good

Before the season started, some predicted the North Carolina men’s basketball team to go undefeated. Eventually the Heels lost to a huge underdog Boston College team, AT HOME, and all the hoopla quieted down. They then lost a close one at Wake Forest back on January 11th…and they have yet to slow down since.

Tonight, the Tar Heels stuck it to the Duke Blue Devils 101-87 AT Cameron Indoor…ouch. I don’t want to state the obvious or anything but I’m doing it anyway. UNC is nasty this year! The starting-five are all NBA-caliber players and they have one of the best coaches in the game.

I know that the brackets aren’t out just yet, but there will certainly be a lot of co-workers with UNC as their champ. My advice, BEWARE! The Tar Heels are great, as stated above, but their defense is often suspect. I have no problem with UNC or the fact that they’re the favorite to bring it home this March. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to see an opponent shoot well against UNC and stick around until the end of the game. This could be YOUR bracket-buster…
