New York Post Suspected Of Racism In Recently Published Chimp Cartoon
At first glance, the recently published cartoon in the New York Post looks like a play off of the ever-popular chimpanzee attacks.
But then you read the cartoon’s caption: “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill”. Now you may scratch your head a little; what the hell is that suppose to mean?
Now consider the fact that the cartoonist who created this specific “funny” is nicknamed by some as “the Picasso of prejudice”. The Post will have to soon come to their own defense and explain what’s going on with the cartoon and it’s true meaning. Of course it ties-in two current events, the chimp attack and the recent stimulus bill, but I think the caption is what creates the uproar. It’s obvious that the shot monkey is suppose to portray President Barack Obama. Will the Post admit to this? Absolutely not. But gimme a break, the editor didn’t notice this? Or perhaps take the potential implication into account? C’mon….
We should also remember that the New York Post is owned by Rupert Murdoch, an endorser of John McCain.
