An Atlanta woman was kicking back and enjoying her delicious bag of peanut M&M’s. A specific green M&M had a little bit more “crunch” to it and Ms. Potts decided to spit it out and take a look. What she found in her chocolate candy that is supposed to melt in your mouth was extremely foul.

Although Ms. Potts didn’t know what it was at first, a local biologist has looked at the hard material and identified it as a vertebra from a small mammal. Say what?!?! This is what Professor Larry Blumer, director of environmental studies in the biology department of Morehouse College in Atlanta, had told FOXNews.com. Try reading this without throwing up in your mouth a little bit:

“It’s definitely bone, and it came from some type of mammal. This isn’t [a] tail vertebra — it’s something higher up, and the reason I’m certain for that is because it’s hollow. The nerve cord would run through there. It doesn’t look like there’s even a remnant of flesh on this, this has either been out in the environment for a while and it got into that container, or it went through some organism’s digestive tract first. For example, you might find something like this in an owl pellet,” Blumer said, referring to the indigestible material regurgitated by the animal.

Ms. Potts is not pursuing a lawsuit against Mars….not yet anyway.

Peanut M&M’s anyone?
