Jeff Garcia Signs One-Year Deal With Oakland

Jeff Garcia may be 39-years-old but he still has the ability to start for an NFL franchise. Unfortunately he will not get the chance.

Garcia signed a one-year deal with the Oakland Raiders on Monday, which comes after weeks of Garcia being on the open market. I liked the thought of Garcia heading to Minnesota because he’s a smart quarterback that can really protect the football. However, Minnesota thought more of former Texans back-up Sage Rosenfels.

It looks like Garcia will back up Raiders’ starter JaMarcus Russel and probably end up finishing his career in Oakland, gross. But I guess it’s not all that bad. Garcia grew up in California and attended San Jose State University, I’m sure he is not totally against finishing up his career in his home state.

And besides, we can’t feel sorry for Jeff. He still has his wife to come home to (where did she rank on hottest NFL Ladies).
