Cavs Need Missing Piece This Off-Season, Could Be Villanueva

Charlie Villanueva

The Cavaliers didn’t fair well in this year’s playoffs, obviously. Semifinals aren’t bad but the hype around LeBron and his crew created a “Finals or Bust” attitude this season. The Cavs are likely just one guy away from causing that one annoying mismatch for their opponents and the move needs to be addressed this off-season.

The Milwaukee Bucks happen to be in a little bit of financial trouble and they conicidentally have a player that the Cavs could deperately use. Charlie Villanueva is a 6’11 forward that averages 16 PPG and who can cause serious match-up problems for defenders, a la Rashard Lewis. Villanueva can cause match-up problems on the other side of the ball as well by throwing his 6’11 frame on a much shorter 2- or 3-guard.

Who knows who the Cavs are trying to land but you can guarantee that Danny Ferry was on the phone when the series was 4 – 2.
