You Heard It Here First: Dallas Cowboys Release Terrell Owens

You know what I love? Trips to the beach, a ripe avocado, and anything awful that happens to Terrell Owens. So I hit two for three today, unfortunately no beach trip.

ESPN is reporting that the Dallas Cowboys have released wide receiver Terrell Owens. That’s right everyone, Jerry Jones released our personal gift from God. Oh how sweet it is! I made a prediction that the Cowboys would never win anything with Owens on that team. I then went on to say that Owens will never be a Super Bowl champ. And at this time, I think I might be on to something.

Finally, Jerry Jones had enough of Owens’ bad attitude, horrible character, and dropped passes. I’m glad to see that Jerry Jones has come to his senses and realized that he can’t save everyone. Adam Jones didn’t work out and neither did T.O., sorry Jerry. Owens is the worst case of cancer for any team lockerroom and the rest of the Dallas Cowboys are probably dancing in the streets after this wise move by the front office.

Where do the Cowboys go from here? Well, they traded everything but the kitchen sink to bring in Roy Williams, so he will likely be the guy. Anquan Boldin is still on the market as trade bait but the Cowboys really have nothing to offer. Marvin Harrison could be willing to come play for a players’ coach in Dallas. But who really knows? The Cowboys could stick with Williams and Crayton with hopes of a young guy stepping up.

What happens to Terrell Owens? He has great numbers with no Super Bowl rings; why not retire? I assume that T.O. will still believe that he has something to contribute to the game but who would risk having him in the lockerroom? Oakland would probably offer him a job! Maybe Belichick takes him under his wing?

Time will tell. I’m just estatic that T.O. is UNEMPLOYED!
