Kanye West Makes a Special Appearance on Jay Leno, One Day After Rude VMA Interruption

Kanye West on Jay Leno 2

Just one day after Kanye West embarrassed Taylor Swift on national television during the VMA’s, he appeared on the Jay Leno Show to apologize. West, Jay-Z, and Rihanna were set to perform on the show later that night but Kanye asked if he could sit down with Leno for a few minutes to address the issue.

Leno worked Kanye over pretty good, even bringing West to tears. But the question still remains if West was, in fact, sincere with his apology. Sure he went on stage and shedded a tear, but the guy has been trying his absolute hardest to stay in the spotlight 24/7. Now he hits a peel in the road after cracking a joke he got no laughs for and he’s suddenly a changed man?

The clip was orignially posted here at the Box but NBC Universal has since took the video off of the internet. Sorry folks, but Kanye West just has that much money.

We’ll see…

New Rhapsody Commercial Featuring Jay-Z and Blueprint III

Possibly one of the coolest commercials I’ve seen. Not only is Jay-Z back and dropping a new album, Blueprint III, but he’s still proving that he’s the hardest working man in the business. Jay-Z’s talent is second to none and his professionalism is admirable. ….::.:.Check oUt the Clip..::..

Death of Autotune: Official Jay-Z Video

If you were to ask me what I thought about hip-hop and its current standing within the world of music, the word “garbage” could have pretty much summed it up. It was as if every down-home wanna-be rapper was trying their hardest to find the next best catchphrase. So why am I using the past tense? Because with Jay-Z’s new song, “Death of Autotune”, he may have single handedly saved the genre….again.

Eminem Is Garbage, IMO

I personally cannot stand Eminem and the fact that his fan base is so immense, but I do give him credit for making the scariest music video since Thriller.  It’s not that he’s a white guy in a predominantly black music culture and I’m just a “hater”, it’s the fact that I really don’t think his stuff is that good.

Every once in a while you can listen to a song from one of his albums and recognize some serious writing ability, lyrical geniusness. But the other nine tracks are crap, radio fads. For people to say that Marshall Mathers is one of the greatest rappers alive right now is somewhat disturbing. Have we forgotten about Nas, Jay-Z, Black Thought, Mos Def, Talib Kwali? Can people really compare Eminem to any of those guys? With a straight face? Not to mention, you have to have the ‘voice’ of a rapper to be a rapper (if that makes any sense), and Eminem just doesn’t have it. Think of the unmistakable voices of Biggie, Tupac, Jay-Z…that stuff sticks. Eminem? Not so much.

Think about a person blasting Eminem from the car speakers. It looks ridiculous. Have a quality rapper blasting from the speakers and people are like, “Oh, he/she knows the right stuff”.

Call me crazy but I think Eminem is garbage. I’m sure I’ll hear a lot for this.

Jay-Z Threatens Chris Brown Following Altercation?

chris-brown

According to US Weekly, Jay-Z is pretty pissed off about the whole Chris Brown – Rihanna fued, and he has reason to be.

Jay-Z is Rihanna’s producer and has had her back since day one. He has served as a big-brother type figure for Rihanna as she broke on to the scene at a young age. A source close to Jay-Z reportedly said, “He hit the roof,” referring to Brown.  “Chris is a walking dead man. He messed with the wrong crew.”

Now remember, that’s not from Jay-Z directly. But also remember that Jay-Z had a rough up-bringing, a childhood which he has rapped about in the past. I wouldn’t doubt that Jay-Z has the power to have something done to Chris Brown. However, I do doubt that Jay-Z, who is approaching 40, would risk any of the cash pile he’s sitting on.

Either way, watch out Chris Brown!
